Government Support and Future Outlook
The involvement of MoWECP underlines the importance of cinema as a medium for education, advocacy, and positive entertainment for children in Indonesia. The National Movement for Children’s Films is expected to inspire more works that enrich children’s experiences and nurture their growth through storytelling on the big screen.
“Children’s films are more than just entertainment—they are a platform to instill values, spark imagination, and uphold children’s rights. Sahabat Anak The Movie marks the beginning of a long journey we are embarking on together,” said the organizers.
Through this initiative, HEART PICTURES, Rumah Semut Film, and MoWECP remain optimistic that this collaboration will create positive change and pave the way for the revival of children’s cinema in Indonesia.
